“Craig & the Shack Shakers” is a West Sydney band who came together just over two and a half years ago. Founding members Craig Byrne (vocals & rhythm guitar) & Brian Adair (double bass & vocals) met at a car show and soon discovered a mutual liking for the music of the fifties & sixties.

A band was soon put together and although there has been a number other members over the past two years the currant lineup with Steve Hardy on drums & expatriate Kiwi Lance Murch on lead guitar and vocals has seen the band stabilize and move forward building an ever increasing fan base as they go.

“The whole purpose of this band is to get people up and dancing and we include not only the classic rock & roll songs but also some rockabilly, swing and a touch of country as well. All of these musical styles have been blended over the years in some form or another and it has produced songs that are not just great dance tunes but that are musically interesting as well.”

The band are regulars on the Sydney rock & roll dance circuit and make several trips each year to the central and mid north coast as their popularity grows. Always out for a good time, the boys are always trying to connect with their audience so that that extra bit of fun is had by all.
